Ford India on Wednesday unveiled its latest global product offering – The all-new Ford Freestyle, a compact utility vehicle (CUV) for the Indian consumers. The all-new Ford Freestyle will be one essential presentation by American automobile manufacturer. The car has a more of SUV look even though it is based to be a hatch-back car. The target audience covers young millennials, who look for style, comfort, and best-in-class performance. The Ford Freestyle will have competitors such as Hyundai i20 Active, Honda WR-V, and Toyota Etios Cross. The car sure has some best design, according to the what the company tells us, it has some best in class features too.
Ford India has launched the Freestyle in India. Priced at Rs 5.09 lakh, ex-Delhi, the Freestyle is a crossover offering based on the Figo hatchback.
The Freestyle will come pretty well equipped with up to six airbags, Active Rollover Prevention (ARP) for preventing the car tip-over. The interiors resemble that of Ford Figo and Ford Aspire. The major highlights would be the new touch-screen infotainment system, which comprises of a 6.5-inch touchscreen along with Ford SYNC3. The car will have a keyless engine start/stop, but the interiors are also quite similar to those of Figo, with comfortable seating and spacious boot space.
The Freestyle will come powered by Ford’s all-new, three-cylinder 1.2L TiVCT Dragon series petrol engine, along with the trusted 1.5litre TDCi diesel motor. The petrol engine is said to be small, light and claimed to deliver great mileage, although the numbers are not shared yet. The 1.2-litre petrol engine will give out 96 PS of peak power, which is actually best in class, and 120 Nm of torque. The 1.5L TDCi diesel engine with 100 PS peak power and 215 Nm of torque will also be an available variant. The engines will certainly have a manual transmission, but auto variant may be included as well.
