BMW revealed its second era Mini Countryman at the Auto Expo 2018. Locally produced at BMW’s Chennai plant, the auto will be accessible in two petrol variations — Mini Countryman Cooper S and Mini Countryman Cooper JCW Inspired, and one diesel variant— Mini Countryman Cooper SD with a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder unit onboard.
2018 Mini Countryman launched at Rs 34.90 lakh. Priced between Rs 34.90 lakh to Rs 44.40 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom), the refreshed Countryman is available in both petrol and diesel variants. And, of course, there are a lot more niceties on offer here.
“The second generation all-new Countryman offers a unique combination of functionality, everyday practicality, and long distance suitability,” said BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah.
Mini is the ideal fit for the urban environment as the second-generation Mini Countryman presents an interesting mix of usefulness, regular expediency and is suitable for long distance travels.
From its looks, the Countryman’s external design is like its previous model except for the fact that there are a couple of trims and changes all over. Be that as it may, it is 200mm longer and 30mm more extensive with a 75mm hop in the wheelbase. The front elevation consolidates the Mini-esque grille completed in chrome and upright LED headlamps with fringe LED DRLs. The side profile flaunts the 19-inch light amalgam wheels housed inside the flared wheel curves with rough cladding, glossy silk completed rooftop rails and the air vent on the front quarter board. The backside gets upright LED lights outlined by chrome complements, chrome-tipped double fumes tips, and wraparound raise windshield with a lip spoiler to finish things off.
