Renault has launched a new version of its hatchback Kwid in India at a starting price of Rs 2.66 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, New Delhi). The 2018 model range comes with a lot of new features and the company has kept the price as the same as its previous version, and the car is Available in 8 trims.
The main things that have been upgraded in the car are the front headlamps now feature Renault’s signature C-shaped headlight. The kwid 2018 comes with a new razor sharp chrome front grille, along with the logo at its centre. Other changes include fog lamps, full wheel covers and body-coloured bumpers.

According to the company, the 2018 Renault KWID will offer segment-leading length, the power to weight ratio, boot space, ground clearance and cutting-edge technology.
Talking about the features included inside the cabin, which the car holds from previous models are a 7-inch touchscreen Media NAV system, Rear Camera, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator and the new updates which are included in the car are the Integrated reverse parking camera, Rear armrest and Rear 12V socket for passenger convenience, while Rear ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) comes across all variants as standard features and Traffic Assist in the AMT variants.The top variants of the car gets power steering, 3 and 4 Speed Manual AC, ORVM passenger side, engine immobilizer, single din audio with Bluetooth and telephony, front speakers and a 12V power socket.
The Kwid Climber variant is offered in six colour options – fiery red, planet grey, moonlight silver, ice cool white, outback bronze and electric blue. The lower variants have lesser colour options.
Mechanically The 2018 Renault Kwid continues to be powered by the same set of engines, A 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines. The 800cc engine produces 52 bhp and 72 Nm of torque. While the 999 cc engine churns out 67 bhp and 91 Nm of torque. Both engines comes with the option of a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox.
