The German motor show has presented us with some unbelievable concept cars coming from Mercedes Benz, Renault, BMW & Audi. It seems as if the science fiction is genre has come to life. Get a first look at these concept cars sent from the future.
BMW Concept TBA
This BMW electric concept will probably be called the i5 and is made to be direct competition to the Tesla model S, promising a 350-mile. It is scheduled for release by 2021. It can accelerate to 60 mph in four seconds and has a top speed of 120 mph. The quad headlight elements and L- shaped LED taillights show the characteristic BMW design cue.
Mercedes Project One hypercar
This £2.8million Mercedes project unveiled by Mercedes AMG called Project One hopes to dominate Formula 1 in the coming years. The 1.6 liter V6 gives about 11,000 rpm and drives around 700 horsepower (though it gets 500 horsepower by its three electric motors). Only 275 of these masterpieces will be manufactured (all of which are reserved, of course) and will start production in 2019.
Mercedes Concept EQA
The Mercedes EQA concept named as ‘ electric athlete’ Details are yet to be revealed about this electric car. However, according to Mercedes DAG: “With its stunning proportions, seamless flowing surfaces, combined with stimulating graphics using high-tech black panels, it is definitively a bold design statement: this car is simply sexy,” commented Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer, Daimler AG. as he spoke to Express UK.
The self-driven Symboiz is said to ‘park on your roof’. The vision is a far-fetched at the moment with production to start in 2030, when driverless cars might become a thing. It is essentially ‘a future car’. Renault reserves their place in self-driven cars with effort. More details to be announced.
BMW Z4 concept
Afer the first showcase at Pebble Beach about a month ago, the Z4 mainly shows a longer frame and hood and a sharknose front grille, almost giving it a more ‘muscle’ look. It is expected to be released by next year.
