The 2018 Audi Q5 petrol launched in India priced at ₨ 55.27 lakh. The petrol variant follows the launch of Q5 diesel, which was introduced in India only this year in January. The new Audi is larger, edgier, lighter and better equipped than its predecessor. The 2018 Audi Q5 petrol is available in two variants- Technology and Premium Plus.
Audi Q5 Exterior
Visually the new Q5 borrows some cues from the first generation Q5 and the new Q7. The vehicle gets a large single-frame hexagonal grille, slim high tech full LED headlamp and the shapely bumper reminiscent of the larger siblings. The new model looks more dynamic as it gets a pronounced shoulder line. The rear section is adorned with dynamic turn indicators and stylish bulging boot section
Audi Q5 Engine Specification
Mechanically, the new Q5 is available only with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with an all-wheel drive Quattro System. Mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, the engine produces 188bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. Audi claims that the new model is eight percent more powerful and 20 percent more fuel efficient than its older generation model.
Audi Q5 Interior
The new Audi Q5 gets premium upholstery, electric leather seats, parking assist with rear camera and three-zone climate control. The vehicle gets a large 510-liters of boot space and comes loaded with an electric boot opening.Audi’s new Virtual Cockpit along with ambient lighting, large infotainment screen with MMI function and Audi Drive Select will come as standard in the new Q5.
The new Audi is larger, edgier, lighter and better equipped than its predecessor. It is lighter by 90 kgs. Moreover, the petrol Q5 is over 2 lakh cheaper than its diesel than its diesel counterpart. The biggest change on the Q5 is obviously its engine that sits under its bonnet. Audi Q5 comes with the ’45 TFSI’ badge at the rear instead of the ’35 TDI’ seen on the diesel one.
The petrol one comes with the same design and styling, which includes Audi’s signature single-frame grill with a chrome treatment that is flanked by a pair of sharp looking LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps. In fact, the stock petrol variant gets the same five-spoke alloy wheels although, for those who want something different Audi does offers an array of customised options.
