Audi’s had planned and prepared itself to commercialize its electric vehicles in the global market. Audi plans to roll out Audi E-tron, flagship Hybrid and electric conceptualised products of Audi, by 2020 globally. Audi has major plans for India with all set to launch an all-electric SUV with three more cars all electric in coming time.
However, Volkswagen AG, the parent company of Audi, will be taking a big chance in Indian market with electric vehicle hunch. Though India plans to become zero emission country with pure electric mobility by 2030. But seeing the current scenario charging infrastructure is not adequate for the expansion of electric vehicle market in India. This is the only factor that has been hindering car companies with pure electric venture in India. With E-tron Audi will be testing global waters before launching all products in the market.

Cars to come from Audi’s Apart from the E-tron, the Audi GT Gran Turismo and the Audi Sportback coupe-styled SUV are the two other models expected to be launched in the global market by 2020. Volkswagen AG is headstrong with electric vehicles and thus its other subsidiary, luxury car brand Porsche has declared its plan of launching an electric car in India by 2020. With many car companies entering the market the Indian market to try their luck with electric vehicles. Audi does not want to lose this opportunity, as Mercedes-Benz luxury car maker also announced its plans to roll out electric vehicles in India by 2020, and thus Audi is playing its dices carefully.
