The Auto Expo is an annual event organized jointly by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) to give a platform to automobile manufacturers from all over the world to showcase their new and special launches before the Indian audience. Incepted in the year 1985, the first Auto Expo was organised in 1986 and has been a legacy since then. “Co-create, Co-exist and Celebrate” will be the theme of the Auto Expo 2018. Aimed to keep up with the wind of greener and cleaner solutions blowing across the globe, the Auto Expo 2018 will also have its focus on electric vehicles, hybrid technologies, and cleaner solutions.

The Auto Expo 2018 will have 14 indoor showcase areas spread across 1,85,000 Sq Meter area and having different zones such as Innovation Zone, Destination Zone, Smart Mobility Zone and Competition Zone.

Set the dates
Extending a day longer due to the high number of visitors, the Expo will take place from February 9-14 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida with a separate show for the components from February 8-11, 2018 at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. Business hours will be from 10 am to 1 pm and public hours will be from 1 pm to 6 pm. Weekends will be open only for the public with no business hours and public hours extending up to 7 pm in the evening. The inauguration for both the parts of the show will be joint.
Where to grab your tickets?
The tickets are available online on BookMyShow.com. The tickets will also be available at selected metro stations across Delhi NCR and at the box office at Indian Expo Mart (IEML). Available at different prices according to the purpose the tickets will start at Rs. 350 for weekday public hours, Rs. 475 for the weekend public hours, Rs. 750 for the business hours. The last day of the Expo is priced at Rs. 450. Adding to the good news, a purchase of three or more tickets makes one eligible for home delivery of the tickets. What more to ask for.

How to get there
Botanical garden, Noida is the nearest metro station to the expo venue IEML. From there it takes 25 minutes by car to reach the venue. Other than that cabs and autos are readily available and there is a wholly dedicated taxi and auto stand to keep it smooth for the public vehicle to come in and out of the location. Due to the traffic conditions on the Expo days it is recommended to use public transport.
Treat for the eyes
While last years Expo saw the presence of 65 automotive manufacturers and six lakh visitors, this year the much talked about vent will see an increased number of visitor attendance and a whole new line of manufacturers. Some of the new entrants include giants like South Korea’s Kia Motors, Japan’s Kawasaki and IT major Microsoft. However, some major players like Ford India, General Motors and Volkswagen will give a miss to the Expo.
