The ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2018 saw the launch of DC Designs’ second sportscar “Titanium Carbon Aluminum” abbreviated as TCA, three years after the launch of Avanti. Only 299 units of the mid-engine sportscar are to be built, each priced at INR 39L and are expected to be delivered in October 2018. DC says they have already received bookings for 60 pieces. The production will begin alongside Avanti at the DC Design factory in Mumbai.
The DC states that the TCA’s design is inspired by the La-Ferrari and the Pagani Zonda, though it looks like a heavily mutated version of Avanti. It is lower, longer and wider than its predecessor. The TCA is built on a 3.8 litre, 320hp V6 engine and is paired with a 6- speed automatic gearbox. By running 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds, it is expected to be the fastest car designed, developed and built in India.
The exact specifications of the sportscar are not yet available but it is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. However, it is bound to attract attention through its magnificent exterior and futuristic looks. Overall the TCA offers accessibility at a genuine price with the latest technology against its high priced German and British counterparts.
