With a great series of line-ups by Automobile giants ranging from Renault to Lexus, the Auto Expo comes with another great official announcement of line-ups from none other than our indigenous maker- Maruti Suzuki. Keeping up with the overall theme of the Expo – “Co-create, Co-exist and Celebrate”- Maruti Suzuki has announced its pavilion to be built around the theme “transformation”. The 4200 sq mt. area pavilion will showcase not only relaunches but also an array of new models which will be the transforming factor for the brand image at present. Apart from the arena, the company will also showcase 18 models in the ARENA, NEXA and Motorsports zones.
The line-up announced is as follows: Concept FutureS, Concept e-Survivor, Next-generation Hybrid Technology and all-new third generation Swift.
Taking design evolutions to an all new level and transforming its brand image in terms of model body sculpting and stimulating fusion of bold patterns and accent colours, Maruti is coming up with the Concept FutureS. Designed by in-house designers, the car will make the company lead in compact SUV segment with a look which is sure to amaze everyone.
Concept e- Survivor
Having made its debut at the 2017 Japanese Motor Show, Maruti will be showcasing its Concept e-Survivor, an electric vehicle, at the Auto Expo 2018. Having fashioned many exciting new technologies, the car will showcase the FACE (Four-wheel Drive, Autonomous, Connected & Electric) of Maruti Suzuki’s vision for future mobility. Proudly launching this vehicle with the intent to launch an electric vehicle in India by 2020, this e vehicle will transform the shape of electric vehicles in the country with the local manufacturing of components, charging infrastructure and recycled batteries.
Next-generation Hybrid Technology
Keeping up with innovations to power greener mobility and electrifications of vehicles in India, Suzuki will launch the working model of this hybrid system (HEV) at the Auto Expo 2018. Inspired by the Suzuki solio and Swift cars being manufactured and sold in Japan currently, this model will completely revolutionize the vision of a cleaner India as it has highly efficient less emission design and a pure electric experience.
NextGen Maruti Suzuki Swift
With the aim to occupy a new position as a premium car manufacturer, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, which is all set for launch at the Auto Expo 2018, will relaunch a completely new phase in its life cycle. With new features added all over, the new Swift will have better fuel efficiency and a more powerful feature and technology back support. The new Swift will retain its basic design architecture with a wider design and a 20mm longer wheelbase. The new showstopper will have a completely revamped headlamp cluster with fog lights, ORVM indicators, LED tail lamps as some of the amazing design innovations.
Second-Generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga (expected)
There has been various sights of the test mules of the new generation Maruti Ertiga, which is based upon the Heartect platform. It promises to possess better looks with more interior space. There is the possibility of a new 1.5-litre diesel engine which will be upgradable to BS-VI standards.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift (expected)
Maruti is also planning to bring a sleeker looking Ciaz with the same set of engines as currently on offer. The new Ciaz being a facelift will be sporting made covered bumpers and a stronger double slat front grille with the possibility of even a panoramic sunroof.
