Honda Dealerships across the country will get busy this July 26 onwards making repairs to the New Honda Amaze. Almost 7,290 units of the second-generation compact sedan will be recalled to fix the potential issue with its electric power steering. As per an announcement by Honda, all units of the New Honda Amaze made between April 2017 and May 24, 2018, might be having the defect with the steering.
What Exactly may be Wrong
Due to the issue with the power steering, the EPS indicator light may blink and the steering may feel heavy while driving. Without paying an extra dime, the affected customers will get a replacement of the part if a fault is found after inspection of the EPS sensor harness, assured the Japanese car maker.
Individual contacts with the owners of all suspected vehicles will begin from July 26, 2018. A new microsite linked to the official website of Honda can be accessed by the owners too. To check if their vehicle is one of the affected ones, customers just need to put in their car’s 17 character alpha-numeric VIN ( vehicle identification number) and get the necessary information.
As a matter of fact, Honda will go ahead with the launch of all-new, seven-seater CR-V with their latest 120hp, 1,6-litre diesel engine for the Indian Markets. You may remember that the Japanese carmaker had recently launched 2018 Honda Jazz also for the Indian customer.
