Hyundai Santro 2018
Although the air was around for some time that Hyundai, the Korean carmaker, is working on a new small car, it was never officially announced in India. Now clearing the air, it is strongly believed that the new car will be the Hyundai Santro, once the most popular hatchback on the Indian soils. The new Santro is expected to be priced at around 4lakh again maintaining its stance as a car for the general Indian masses. Powered by a 1.1-litre iRDE the car will generate a maximum of 62 hp and will be positioned between the Hyundai Eon and Hyundai Grand i10. And yes, the new Santro will be a completely new revolutionized version of its predecessor. So, keep your eyes open and be prepared to meet the new hatchback of 2018.
TATA Tigor Electric Vehicle 2018
Keeping up with the theme of connected mobility as the central theme of the Auto Expo 2018, TATA motors will launch their production-ready model of the Tigor EV which is an electric car having a range of about 120 kms sharing its basic design with the standard Tiger subs compact Sedan, this showstopper will have all the change under the bonnet. Unlike the standard Tigor, this model will have the traditional combustion replaced by the 45 hp electric motor from Electra EV.
Tamo Racemo 2018
100km/hr in six seconds, a turbocharged Revotron petrol 1.2-litre aluminium engine, 186 hp and 210 Nm torque production, are just some of the mesmerising features of the Tamo Racemo, a two-seater coupe to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. Although production for this beauty was schedule to start on July 2018 under a budget of Rs 250 crores, this India’s first kit-car will only be a delight to behold at the Auto Expo 2018. TATA Motors have decided to first put the money to use for the commercial vehicle segment. Tamo is a sub-brand under TATA Motors.
New Renault Duster 2018
Introduced in November 2017, French Automaker Duster plans to launch its new edition of the SUV Duster in the Auto Expo 2018 this year. Completely revamped and given a new look both from inside and outside, the new SUV will be a car much sought after at the Expo this year. Some of the changes to look forward to in the New Duster 2018 are as under:
- The headlights have been completely revolutionized with LED DRLs and a U shape line on the bonnet.
- The steering wheel has been given a new look and the section now resembles the one in Captur.
- With the dashboard having a touch of chrome, the inner cabin has been completely revamped to give a premium and upbeat look.
- The infotainment system has been made compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Offering both manual and automatic transmissions, this new Duster will be available in the price range of 9-13 lakh.
