XC60 was initially divulged in Geneva in the month of March this year. The upgraded version of Volvo XC60, d5 variant with the top-spec Inscription trim will be launched in December in India.
Initially, it is anticipated that Volvo will be launching XC60 with the same engine that is embedded in the larger model XC90- an engine with a displacement of 2.0-litre D5 diesel unit that churns out the maximum power of 235 hp. In terms of engine, Volvo XC60 has an upper hand in comparison to its closest rival such as BMW X3 which can churn out the maximum power of 190 hp. The engines will be mated with a 8 speed AMT.
There is the lot of speculations regarding the upgrading and reforming of the engine of Volvo XC60. It is speculated that car manufacturers could consider bringing 320hp T6 petrol and 407hp T8 Twin-Engine petrol-hybrid derivatives of the XC60 in the future.
The price of the Volvo XC60 SUV will range from Rs 50 lacks to Rs. 60 lacks.
