Considered to be the flagship product from Mahindra, the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 is most probably expected to release within the next few days. It is believed that during testing of the model, it was spied a couple of times and finally the latest development is that the new and unique specifications of the engine have been revealed and exposed. The forum member of Team-BHP, Raven Avi has somehow arranged to get the new and unrevealed specifications out, even before the announcement of Mahindra’s. This is the first time that details about the XUV500 have emerged apart from the spied images.
The specifications have been leaked out in the wild according to which the upcoming 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will ship with an enhanced version of the diesel engine. The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will be capable of producing 155hp and 360Nm of torque via the integrated 2.2L mHawk diesel engine, 15thp, and 30 Nm higher than the outgoing model. If being compared to the specifications with the existing models, they are higher and improved.
It is also expected to have a 1.99litre engine, made especially for the Delhi-NCR market during the NGT engine ban, but it is not certain whether the same level of added output will be produced or not. But it is certain that the buyers can expect better performance on the road. In addition to changes on the front, there is also a new addition on the rear side. The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 will be apparelled with a new six-slot radiator grille coupled with tweaked headlamp stand 18-inch alloy wheels.
The dealership has been started and the sale is expected to start from this month only with the initial price 13 lakh.
