Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the most comprehensive facelift of its premium sedan “Ciaz” in the Indian market on 6 August with a petrol engine only, as the Ciaz has been teased ahead of its debut. and the company has officially started teasing the car in the new Nexa commercial.
The video clearly reveals its redesigned front grille with a chrome induced mesh and new sharper-looking headlamp unit, The foglamp bezel now gets chrome surround around. It now confirms that the Ciaz facelift will get daytime running lights (DRLs) at the bottom of the headlight along with projector lens. The rear of the car has not been teased on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift but is likely to get new LED taillights and a revised bumper.

Engine specifications –
A new updated 1.5-litre turbocharged engine codenamed K15B will power the 2018 Ciaz petrol, replacing the current 1.4 -litre K- series petrol engine which will churn out about 104 bhp and 130 Nm of peak torque. The engine will come paired with SHVS, making the 2018 Ciaz the first petrol-powered Maruti to get the mild-hybrid tech along with cruise control.
However it has been confirmed that the company won’t discontinue the diesel Ciaz, It is expected that the diesel-powered Ciaz facelift will be launched later this year, around Diwali. The 2018 Ciaz will get the 1.3-litre diesel engine, DDiS motor tuned for 89 bhp and 200 Nm of peak torque. It is already paired with SHVS and is available with manual transmission only.

The bookings for the new 2018 Maruti Ciaz is likely to begin soon and the pricing of the sedan is expected to remain same as the currently sold model, As the new Ciaz does not feature any major updates
