BMW 3 series shadow edition is live on the Indian website of the company. The shadow edition is available in 2 variants – 320d Edition Sport (diesel), priced at Rs. 41.4 lakhs and the 330i M sport (petrol), priced at Rs. 47.3 lakhs.
The car is loaded with a bunch of new eye-catching features on the outside which are:-
- New 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels
- Car key with M trim
- Exclusive black chrome – plated tailpipe finisher
- “Shadow” effect on headlamps and tail lamps
- BMW kidney frame finished in high-gloss black
- Kidney grilled with eight light slats finished in high- gloss black.
Not only the exterior is loaded with new features, the interior as well has got some new features like a new 10.5 – inch all-digital instrument cluster with heads-up display and electronically adjustable sport front seats along with some M trim elements (available on the 320d) such as the M door sill finisher and M Sport leather steering wheel. Features like the two-zone automatic climate control, 8.7-inch infotainment display with BMW apps, Apple car play, Android Auto and iDrive touch with handwriting recognition, a 205W 9-speaker sound system, rear parking camera with front and rear sensors and cruise control with braking function remains the same on the version as it was in the Sport variant Edition.
The safety features remain untouched. Features include six airbags, ABS with break assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, BMW Condition Based Service, Cornering Brake Control, Dynamic Stability Control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
The 320d Edition Sport shadow is powered by the same 2.0-liter diesel which also powers the standard 3 series and churns out 190PS of power and 300Nm of torque. The 330i M Sport Shadow Edition is powered by a 2.0- liter petrol engine which churns out 252PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The levy of the car is expected to get an addition as compared to the already existing models, the Sport Edition and M Sport variants which are levied at Rs. 40.20 lakhs and Rs. 45.20 lakhs respectively as on February 15, 2018. The prices are to change because of the announcement made by BMW that they will be increasing the prices of the car across their lineup by 3% or 5.5% from April 1, 2018. Thus the actual levies are yet to be announced.
