The new AMAZE is all set to be launched in May 2018 which is available in both petrol and diesel engines, Honda has confirmed. The all-new Amaze is built on an all-new platform which has been developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific, located in Bangkok, Thailand. It was globally revealed at an Auto Expo in Feb 2018.
Pre-Launch bookings for Amaze were commenced by Honda cars India. The booking amount is set at Rs21,000. Amaze is a lot more beefed up and features Honda’s familiar characteristic grille that extends above the headlamps. A completely new design language made the interior look stunning. The rear has a relatively flat tailgate flanked by boomerang-style tail lights. The car will feature an industry first CVT option with its 1.5-litre diesel engine and it’s not sure whether
1.2-liter engine will also get the CVT option or not.
“The Honda Amaze has been one of our very successful models in India, with over 2.57 lakh satisfied customers. With the second-generation Amaze, we are extremely excited to add another chapter to the success story of the model. It’s a big commitment from HCIL to its customers and for us, it’s “Time To Go Big”, added by Rajesh Goel, Sr Vice President & Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd.
