Tata Motors has launched the mid-spec AMT gearbox in the XMA variant of Tata Nexon. The car will have two variants as XMA & XZA+, offered in both petrol and diesel. Definitely, the car will be a Mid-level automatic variant for the compact SUV. Tata Previously introduced the Nexon AMT in May 2018 but it was only available in the top-spec XZA+ variant which was priced from Rs 9.41 lakh for the petrol and Rs 10.39 lakh for the diesel.
The petrol variant comes with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 108 hp and 170Nm of torque while the diesel is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit producing the same 108 hp as the petrol variant with a boosting 260Nm of torque. Both engines get a six-speed AMT or as Tata terms it ‘Hyper-Drive’ system. The AMT gearbox provided in Tata Nexon is the first in India to have the Eco, City and Sport driving modes. Tata has also brought the new ‘Ivory White’ roof-colour option to further enhance the design of the Nexon.

The car includes all four power windows, an infotainment system by Harman with USB, Aux and Bluetooth connectivity with four speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, rear parking sensors, central locking and power-adjustable outside rear-view mirrors. rear parking sensors and manual air-conditioning are all on offer though. dual airbags for better safety.
A great news for the costumes those who prefer driving on hilly areas because The Nexon AMT comes with Smart Hill Assist which prevents the car from rolling back in uphill and also with a Crawl function which helps a driver a lot while driving in a slow moving traffic.
