Maruti Suzuki launched its eagerly awaited 2018 Swift with the starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh going up to Rs 8.29 lakh. There is a lot that the new Swift offers and they have made quite a few advancements from the 2017 Swift such as the Automated Manual Gearbox (AMT) in both the petrol and diesel models, six in each.The 2018 Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine while the diesel engine is a 1.3-litre unit which produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque and 74bhp and 190Nm of torque respectively.
Just like the Baleno and Dzire the all-new fourth generation model of Maruti Suzuki Swift is based on their Heartect platform. Other features have also been included ie. the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Along with this, the new Swift gets LED headlights, reversing camera, button start, keyless entry and more.
Keeping its brand identity of delivering premium and up class features in the most efficient manner, the new Swift will have a much more spacious cabin including a flat-bottom steering wheel and automatic climate control to take care of all your sweaty and freezing needs. Space has also been added in the boot with the new boot having an additional 54 liter to accommodate all your bags. Taking forward the promise of luxury, comfort and class the new Swift will have an infotainment system like never before. With a whopping 7-inch touchscreen, tech connectivity of Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth will also be seen by the audience. To add to the speculations Japanese model’s innovation MirrorLink is also believed to have been introduced in this model for the Indian soils.
